In 1896 the Eguía family created a small grocery business in Tolosa (Guipuzcoa), manufacturing candles, chocolates and roasting coffee. From the beginning they focused on first qualities, from which the “Casa Eguía” Blend arose.
In 1936 one of the sons moved to Eduardo Dato street in Vitoria-Gasteiz (Spain) starting a business in this city solely dedicated to roasting coffee.
During the post-war years, due to a shortage of supplies, they began to make nuts, which is currently another part of the business.
Currently, it is run by one of his sons as well as his two grandchildren, thus representing the 4th generation that continues in the exciting world of coffee. From the old totally manual production process, it has gone to a totally mechanized process, but always trying to take maximum care of the final quality of the product.
In 1992 we began with the commercialization of Teas, which, as in coffee, we have specialized in the best qualities of the different countries of the World. Importing, mixing and flavoring all kinds of Teas and Infusions. We pack them in bulk format in different types of packages and in Pyramid-type tea bags with or without envelope.
In 1999, we inaugurated a Coffee and Tea tasting so that people can enjoy all these products that are very difficult to find in the hospitality industry.
The good work done over the years is being demanded by other cities to also be able to enjoy this great selection of products.
