The History of the Eguía
In 1896, the Eguía family created a small grocery store in Tolosa (Guipúzcoa), making candles, chocolates and roasting coffee. From the beginning, they focused on top quality products, which gave rise to the “Casa Eguía” Blend.
In 1936, one of the sons moved to Eduardo Dato Street in Vitoria-Gasteiz (Spain), starting a business in this city dedicated solely to roasting coffee.
During the post-war years, due to the shortage of supplies, they began to produce dried fruits, which is currently another part of the business.
